Service Description
Cat will lead you through her favorite techniques for adding dimension and texture to wool felt using beads and sequins. These techniques can be applied to many different fabric bases, and we’ll discuss other applications during the workshop. Sewing experience is nice to have, but not necessary. You will walk away with a finished piece, or the supplies and knowledge of how to finish your embroidery hoop artwork. All supplies provided from Cat’s (very) large embellishment stash, feel free to bring your favorites if you also have a collection. If you'd like the embroidery hoop to be painted to match the felt, there an add-on option for that service. Water, coffee and tea will be provided, you are welcome to bring snacks. (Wings are not a great choice). Hosted by Friday’s Dope House, located in the VAPA Center 700 N Tryon Street, Charlotte, NC We will gather at the front desk to get everyone checked in, plan to arrive 10-15 minutes early so we can start on time. *NOTE Friday’s Dope House is a shoe-free studio, booties will be provided if you’re not comfortable removing your shoes*
